This is a bus/vehicle tour for private groups. It is available any time. It is fully customizable. We can accommodate 1 or more buses. We can 'step-on' (onto your bus) or provide you with a bus/vehicle. It is 2-3 hours in length. It can include 1 or 2 stops to get out (optional). We are happy to suggest nearby attractions or restaurants. This cannot be provided as a walking tour - the distance is too large.
USA’s independence was fought for in Brooklyn! Follow the historic Battle of Brooklyn (also called Battle of Long Island) across northern Brooklyn. Although not well known, it was the largest and bloodiest battle of the American Revolutionary War. On the tour we will dive into the details of this dramatic saga of events. We will reveal the historic circumstances which led up to the battle. We will highlight brave personalities and leaders who participated. We will follow the troop movements across the rugged terrain as the battle raged on. Expect to learn the answers to the following questions and more: What was the deadly mistake that almost lost the revolution in its infancy? Why did the Maryland 400 bravely sacrifice their lives? Where did George Washington make a dramatic last minute escape? And who are the Prison Ship Martyrs?
